Travel to Puerto Vallarta for the Laser World Championships couldn't be easier. Vallarta Yacht Club and Paradise Village is a short 14 minute trip by road from PVR on Mexico Route 200. Before and after the event, travel to VYC and Paradise Village is available by taxi, bus and in some cases a Paradise Village shuttle. During the event, special Laser World Championships shuttles will be available for travel to and from the venue.
Vallarta Yacht Club is approximately 10 miles north of downtown Puerto Vallarta, one of the most interesting and entertaining tourist venues in Mexico. Public transportation and local taxis run between Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta all day and late into the evening.
If you wish to drive, you will joining thousands of tourists and residents who arrive in the area by road every year. It takes about two long days of driving, mostly on toll roads. Travel on Mexico roads at night is not recommended due to poor lighting and the occasional "tope" (speed bump) that are difficult to see at night.
